Cordell Barker’s animation master class
Matt Forsythe | January 13th, 2010
We just posted this video of Cordell Barker (Cat Came Back – which you can watch below – and his new film, Runaway) giving an animation master class in Toronto.
Barker – who was nominated for an Oscar for this film – has a lot of great storytelling tips. He talks about comic timing (jazz timing), framing (comedy is a wide shot) and contrivance in storytelling, among other things.

GPS Drawing – Draw while you jog
Matt Forsythe | January 20th, 2010
I just signed up for my first half marathon (in April!) and I’ve been playing with the Runkeeper training app for the iPhone. The app maps your daily runs, maps them and – if you want – shares them with the community.
Some people are extremely enthusiastic about the application. Like this fellow who found a way to express his affection in a unique way by running out a message on his route…
“I think I invented a new strange use for RK: ‘GPS painting’, or at least ‘leaving a picture or message in your GPS trail’.”
Lame ass E4 sting I did in a week last year, was well rushed, would’ve liked to have done more.
I’ll visit here in seoul. Ahyun. (near ewha area) this weekend. with …( ) any who ? -_-. whtever.
Invite me, fuckface!
